Chico's beautiful campus has already become a second home for Daniel and he loves waking up to the sounds of constant sirens and train horns. Mr. Beaky is very excited for the journey that Chico is going to take him on for the next four years and can't wait to mature and become an independent and responsible man.

It has become her second home and being in a community in which you feel welcomed is a great feeling. Mexico plays an important role in her life because not only has it helped her become humble but she also enjoys spending time with family. Separating from her family to get an education at Chico State has not only been the first time she has been away from them but it has also been a sacrifice because she never imagined leaving everyone behind to follow her dreams. Taking the initiative to start a new chapter in her life has been the hardest challenge but she can say that it has been the best decision because she has become an independent woman that is in search of a new identity. Jessica is an adventurous person that loves to explore different places and even though it is her freshmen year at Chico State she has been able to get out of her comfort zone and take advantage of all the opportunities Chico has to offer.
